Prologue

It is raining heavily. The wound in the side of my stomach sucks the life out of me, as my blood seeps out and flows with the water of the rain. My head hurts because of the impact of my fall. I cannot feel the rest of my body. I know I will die here tonight. But not before my life flashes before my eyes, one last time.

I see my mom and myself as a child of six. A tear rolls down the corner of my eye as I think of my mother after almost a decade.
