Certain tests must be passed. How difficult can it be to assemble a bicycle? And as for following instructions, what self-respecting man would do that?
The Bicycle
My wife stood on the porch as I pulled into the driveway.
“Did you get it?” she asked.
I wrestled the box from the car. “Right here.”
She smiled. “Perfect.” Then she frowned. “Why is it in a box?”
“I didn’t want to pay the assembly fee. It’s a scam.”
“You sure you can put it together?”
“Do you think I’m an imbecile?”
She nodded. “Sometimes.”
“Well, not this time.”
