It was a cold, bright morning in the spring of 1989 and the bold North Yorkshire daffodils were sodden with dew. The countryside was simply idyllic.
In testament to the surrounding beauty, Dr Evans forgot his worries as he drove his aging BMW from his rented house to his newly purchased dental practice.
